Law Enforcement-Related Student Scholarship Guidelines
BCPA will award a scholarship(s) to a Bloomington resident who is a full or part-time student enrolled at a Minnesota State College or University, Community College, Vocational or Technical Institute. Academic emphasis or interest in coursework in the area of criminal justice, law enforcement and/or community crime prevention is the focus of the scholarship award.
Specifics:
*Two $1,500 Student Scholarships may be awarded at the discretion of the BCPA Board
*Student must be registered and enrolled in a Minnesota State College or University, Community College, Vocational or Technical Institute
*Student must submit a letter/email of interest (1-2 page maximum) to BCPA that includes:
*IMPORTANT: Letter should be addressed to Bloomington Crime Prevention Association and sent with copy of fee statement/course schedule (attach scanned copy to email or include with letter)

BCPA has approved two $1,500 Student Scholarships to be awarded in May of 2023. All applicants will be notified as to the status of their application in May of 2023.
BCPA reserves the right to ask for verification of residential address, enrollment status at Minnesota higher education institution. BCPA reserves the right to accept or deny any and all applications based on available funding and/or lack of qualification(s) which are related to or directly applicable to the crime prevention focus of the grant and scholarship purpose.
