Sponsors of  Book'em Used Book Sale

The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs.

We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest.

                                                 *** 2019 Book'Em Sale Update ***

We are very pleased to announce that we will be returning to the same great Southtown location as last year for our 27th annual Book'Em Sale!  The sale will run from June 1st through June 15th with a preview sale the evening of May 31st.  For more details on the sale and how to donate please download our sale flyer.

Our location at  Southtown Center in Bloomington proved to be a great place for the 2018 Book’EM Sale as it was the largest and most successful in our history.  We are grateful to the owner of the building, Kraus-Anderson,  for allowing us to lease the space for the sale. We also appreciate everyone who makes donations, our sponsors, our customers, and especially all of our volunteers who make it happen each year.

Proceeds from the sale help fund a variety of crime prevention and public safety grants, including a number of after school programs, National Night Out and Bloomington Police Citizen’s Academy.    For more information on grants awarded on November 14, 2018 please click here.

We currently have open positions on the Board of Directors (Treasurer) as well as volunteer positions available for the Book'Em sale (including Sale Coordinator).  If you are interested in volunteering for BCPA please download and fill out the appropriate application and return:
