The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs. We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest, usually held in early June each year.

***2014 Book'Em Sale***

We are very excited to announce our 2014 sale!
We return to the same great location as last year,
810 W 78th St., Richfield MN (former Borders book store). Our sale begins on June 7th and runs through June 21st (preview sale Friday June 6th). We have some really fantastic books this year!  We've had more donations than ever before and have a huge selection of fiction as well as some very interesting vintage aviation, military and NASA materials. We will accept donations through June 13th during sale hours at the sale site only (all school/community drop boxes are now closed).  Stop by and check out our great sale!

We are very pleased and proud to announce that this past October, the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association awarded the 2013 Crime Prevention Team Award to BCPA Vice President Jay Juergens and his wife, Deanna.  Jay has been the Book'Em Sale Coordinator for the past several years and he and Deanna put in countless volunteer hours to make the Book'Em fundraiser a huge success.  Congratulations Jay and Deanna!

Grants and annual funding totaling $81,700 were awarded from the proceeds of the 2013 Book'Em Sale. Ten awardees were chosen from the large number of organizations requesting grants.  Bloomington National Night Out, Cornerstone Advocacy Service and the Northern Star Council Juvenile Diversion were a few of the groups receiving grants. For a detailed list of the 2013 grants please click here.

We hope you will consider becoming a member of BCPA.  Your tax-deductible contribution will help further our crime prevention efforts and also includes some perks for the Book'Em sale.

Sincerely,

BCPA Board of Directors
