Bloomington Crime Prevention Association

Sponsors of  Book'em Used Book Sale

Welcome!

The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs.

We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest.

Our location at  Southtown Center in Bloomington was a great place for the 2019 Book’EM Sale as we surpassed last year's record breaking sale totals!  We are grateful to the owner of the building, Kraus-Anderson,  for allowing us to lease the space for the sale. We also appreciate everyone who makes donations, our sponsors, our customers, and especially all of our volunteers who make it happen each year.

Proceeds from the sale help fund a variety of crime prevention and public safety grants, including a number of after school programs, National Night Out and Bloomington Police Citizen’s Academy.    Grant applications are now being accepted (due September 30, 2019) and grants will be awarded in November, 2019.   Click here for application form.

We hope you will consider becoming a
member of BCPA. Your tax-deductible contribution will help further our crime prevention efforts and also includes some perks for the Book'Em sale.
