Sponsors of  Book'em Used Book Sale

The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs.

We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest, usually held in early June each year.

Thanks to everyone who made the 2016 Book'Em sale a huge success!  We count on the support of our wonderful volunteers, the generosity of those who donate items and also a large number of businesses that help in various ways to sponsor the sale.  We couldn't do it without you!  We especially want to thank Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority and StuartCo for the generous use of 1901 W American Blvd. for the Book’Em sale site. A list of our 2016 sale sponsors can be found here.

Grants totaling $104,800 were awarded on November 30, 2016 from the proceeds of the 2016 Book'Em Sale.  Nineteen awardees were chosen from the large number of organizations requesting grants.  Bloomington National Night Out, Cornerstone Advocacy Service and Bloomington Treehouse were a few of the groups receiving grants. BCPA also provides scholarships for Bloomington residents who are full or part-time students majoring in criminal justice, law enforcement or community crime prevention at a Minnesota state school.  For more information on how to apply for grants please click

We hope you will consider becoming a
member of BCPA. Your tax-deductible contribution will help further our crime prevention efforts and also includes some perks for the Book'Em sale.
