Sponsors of  Book'em Used Book Sale

The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs.

We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest, usually held in early June each year.

                                                BOOK'EM 2016 UPDATE
We are back at the same location as last year, 1901 W. American Blvd. in Bloomington.  The sale runs from June 4th through June 18th with a preview sale the evening of June 3rd.  We have already received an overwhelming number of incredible donations this year and look forward to seeing you at the sale!

Donations are accepted through June 12th at the sale site.  For more information on what types of donations are accepted click here or download flyer.  Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who made the 2015 Book'Em sale a huge success!  We count on the support of our wonderful volunteers, the generosity of those who donate items and also a large number of businesses that help in various ways to sponsor the sale.  We couldn't do it without you!

Grants totaling $72,000 were awarded on November 17, 2015 from the proceeds of the 2015 Book'Em Sale.  Thirteen awardees were chosen from the large number of organizations requesting grants.  Bloomington National Night Out, Cornerstone Advocacy Service and Bloomington Treehouse were a few of the groups receiving grants. BCPA also provides $4,000 in scholarships for Normandale Community College students majoring in criminal justice, law enforcement or community crime prevention.

We hope you will consider becoming a
member of BCPA. Your tax-deductible contribution will help further our crime prevention efforts and also includes some perks for the Book'Em sale.
