2011 BCPA BOOK’EM Book Sale

The 2011 Book'Em used book sale resulted in yet another record-breaking year due to the efforts of more than 50 volunteers and corporate sponsorships/donations.

The BCPA Board of Directors would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped support this year's sale.  We are especially indebted to Wixon Jewelers, who have generously donated the Lyndale location the past six years!  Also, thank you to all of our loyal customers – we couldn’t do it without you!  For a complete list of Book'Em Sponsors click here.  All net proceeds from the sale are used to fund grants that further crime prevention efforts in Bloomington.

The Book'Em used book sale has been held annually since 1992.  The purpose of the sale is to generate funds that are awarded as grants to Bloomington organizations for crime prevention activities.   The sale has increased in size each year and is now one of the largest of its kind in the Upper Midwest.

Used books are donated (tax deductible) to BCPA from residents, libraries, bookstores, estate sales, etc.  See the flyer for types of books and other items accepted.  Book'Em volunteers pick up, sort, organize and sell these books at the annual sale. The sale is held during a two week period in June.  The location of the sale typically moves from year to year to accommodate donated space. Revisit our website frequently for specific information about the upcoming book sale.
